Haikus: Ivory-billed woodpecker and Deforestation

I wrote a poem only once before in my life, so please don't judge too hard ;-)
I'm pretty sure that I did not follow all the complicated japanese rules concerning haikus... but at least I tried to.

Ivory-billed woodpecker –
A symbol for hope.

Old oak, green, mighty.

Old oak, green, mighty.
Will you be there next summer,
Survive the logging?
